The 1st NextGen Africa Biomedical Science & Innovation Symposium, powered by Helix Biogen Institute, will be held on October 16, 2025 at Elisam Events Centre, Ogbomoso, Nigeria, themed “Empowering the Next Generation to Drive Global Impact in Biomedical Innovation.” This landmark event will gather scientists, innovators, policymakers, industry leaders, and students to explore advances in biomedical research and innovation. Keynote speaker Prof. Oyewale Tomori, global health leader, will be joined by Dr. Umar Ahmed (Africa CDC) and Prof. Funmilayo Osuolale (LAUTECH). Sub-themes include genomics, diagnostics, therapeutics, digital health, AI, biomedical systems engineering, infectious diseases, One Health, and biomedical entrepreneurship. The program features keynote sessions, panels, workshops, networking, and abstract presentations, with select papers considered for reputable journal publication.
